A lot has happened since my last post in October! Miss Mejia has ended her time with us and is now at a new placement in an ESL classroom in the Red Clay School District. We have a new student teacher, Brandon Rosenblatt "Mr. R.", who is an Early Childhood Major from the University of Delaware. Parents should have received some information and some permission forms from him that need to be returned. Students have also brought home information about our next field trip, trip permission and fees are due back by Monday 2/25!
This coming week I will be out on Thursday (2/28) and Friday (3/1) as I am attending an education conference in Charleston, South Carolina. I'll be tweeting out some pictures on my Twitter account @DavidOstheimer where there are also many pictures from our classroom.
Please be on the lookout for student conference signups. I will try to send them out before I leave for the conference.
What have we been working on? In Math, Measurement, in Reading, among many things Compare and Contrast and long vowels, in Social Studies we will start with how society Changes Over Time, and in Science, States of Matter.
