A Little Bit About Mr. Ostheimer
After nearly 20 years of sailing the Spanish Main, Mr. Ostheimer cut his hair, shaved his beard (and cleaned his fingernails) leaving his pirate buddies behind and became an elementary school teacher. His hobbies include, traveling( check out the Galapagos and South African sections of this site), cooking, reading and coloring outside of the lines. Mr. Ostheimer’s favorite princess is Ariel (but he does have a soft spot for Belle and Mulan). Mr. Ostheimer does, in fact, believe in fairies. Mr. Ostheimer’s favorite number is 11, favorite letter is L (capital only), and his favorite color is a secret. Mr. Ostheimer is a National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow, an NEA Global Fellow, and a founding member of the Delaware Teachers Institute. Mr. Ostheimer lives in a house with his wife, Merry, child Rory, two cats, Gandie and Topaz and two dogs, Sebastian and Pep-E. Mr. Ostheimer's daughter is a teacher in Bali, Indonesia. When Mr. Ostheimer grows up, he would like to be an astronaut or a baseball pitcher with an awesome change-up.
