Another crazy week at Wilbur Elementary. Tomorrow, Wednesday, is Unity Day. Please wear something Orange to show our support against bullying. (No problem if you don't have something orange, we'll make something we can wear!) This week I will be doing pretests for Math, Science and Reading. We will the take similar tests in the Spring to see what we have accomplished. It seems that our interim reports were not mailed out like I thought they were, therefore, you should be receiving them in your child's folder by Friday.
This week we will be finishing up Lesson 5 in Reading (that is why your homework looks different). In Math we will be finishing Unit 1 and will be having an assessment next week on combinations, greater than and less than, and simple word problems.
In Science, we will continue with weather. Don't forget, our special schedule has changed, Wednesday we have Library and Thursday and Friday, gym.
This Thursday is Picture Day, I apologize in advance for not noticing your child's hair was uncombed, or the milk mustache they had, or many of the other things that I am sure I will not notice. Our picture time is 10:45, after gym but, luckily, before lunch.
If you went on the Facebook page you should have seen our pictures with Smokey The Bear - don't forget to 'like' the page if you already haven't.
Have a great week and don't forget about Picture Day!

is great practice for our greater than less than assessment just put the number range between 0 and 20.
